Запрошуємо учнів взяти участь у шостій Всеукраїнській грі з англійської мови «PUZZLE».
У 2015/2016 навчальному році Гру «PUZZLE» буде проведено 15-19 лютого. Участь у ній платна — 15,00 грн. за одного учасника.
 Учасниками Гри можуть бути учні 3–11-х класів загальноосвітніх навчальних закладів усіх типів та форм власності. Усі координатори та учасники Гри одержать сертифікати, переможці — дипломи та подарунки. 

Зміст Гри складають завдання з англійської мови, літератури та країнознавства (культури), які потребують певної ерудиції, кмітливості, уважності, зосередження й, безумовно, почуття гумору.
 Реєстрація участі у Всеукраїнській грі з англійської мови «PUZZLE» розпочинається з 01 вересня 2015 року і здійснюється координатором Гри у школі на сайті http://puzzle-game.com.ua/ (розділ «Registration»). Для того, щоб увійти в програму реєстрації, Ви маєте отримати (за відсутності) пару логін-пароль в оргкомітеті Гри. Для цього Вам необхідно надіслати запит із зазначенням назви школи, області, району та населеного пункту (місто, селище міського типу, село), поштового індексу та контактного номеру телефону з електронної пошти Вашої установи (або координатора) на електронну пошту Оргкомітету Гри за адресою: orgcomitet@puzzle-game.com.ua.

Шановна Aдміністрація та Педагоги!

Інститут Розвитку Шкільної Освіти (ІРШО) організовує предметні олімпіади Олімпус для школярів на різному рівні знань. Олімпіади вносять різноманітність у систему занять, є цікавим доповненням при освоєнні освітніх програм, а також є зовнішнім джерелом оцінки рівня знань учнів.

Олімпіади будуть проводитися з 25.01.2016 р. по 29.01.2016 р.

Нижче Ви зможете детально ознайомитися з інформацією щодо проведення зимової сесії олімпіад.

I. Загальні правила:

1. Олімпіади проводяться серед учнів 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 класів.

2. Олімпіади будуть проведені у Ваших школах на базі матеріалів, розроблених педагогічним колективом Олімпуса. Бланки зі змістом тестів і бланки відповідей будуть надіслані заявленій школі до 22.01.2016 р.

3. Олімпіади є тестами одноразового вибору, які складаються із 30 завдань. До кожного завдання в тестах буде запропоновано 4 варіанти відповідей, із яких лише один може бути правильним. Учень також має можливість залишити питання без відповіді.

English fillers to speak fluently. ( Gap fillers) - Free English lessons

When we speak continuously we end up using gap fillers. These words are short phrases and are used when we fall short of words. You would commonly come across people who end up making vocal sounds to keep a conversation going such as 'umm', 'ah' or 'oh' etc., They end up up doing this subconsciously but it’s better to avoid them as they are signs of weakness.

Here in this lesson we don’t encourage you to use fillers, but there are times when we hesitate in the middle of a conversation and search for words to keep going.

 Christmas traditions in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Christmas festive days according to the Julian calendar, start on 6 January, Christmas Eve, and end on 19 January: "Jordan". 

The image of Svyatyi Mykolai as a person who brings the Christmas gifts for children, the feast of which is marked on 19 December. It is supposed, that children should find their Christmas gifts under their pillow on that morning.

Sviaty Vechir (Holy Evening)

Sviata Vecherya or "Holy Supper" is the central tradition of the Christmas Eve celebrations in Ukrainian homes. The dinner table sometimes has a few wisps of hay on the embroidered table cloth as a reminder of the manger in Bethlehem.

Kutia (sweet grain pudding) is traditionally served at the Ukrainian Christmas dinner table. It is often the first dish in the traditional twelve-dish Christmas Eve supper (also known as Svyaty Vechir) and is rarely served at other times of the year.

Koliadky (Caroling)

At the end of the Sviata Vechera the family often sings Ukrainian Christmas carols. In many communities the ancient Ukrainian tradition of caroling is carried on by groups of young people and members of organizations and churches calling at homes and collecting donations. The Ukrainian song "Shchedryk" became the basis for the world famous Christmas carol, "Carol of the Bells".
